The Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health was based in 1916 and have become an impartial, degree-granting institution for analysis and training in public health, and the biggest public health coaching facility in the United States. By 1922, colleges of public health have been established at Columbia and Harvard on the Hopkins model. By 1999 there have been twenty nine faculties of public health in the US, enrolling around fifteen thousand college students. In the United States, the first public health organization based on a state health department and native boards of health was founded in New York City in 1866. Public health is related to world health which is the health of populations within the worldwide context.
